Question 1

What is CleanConnect PRO?

Accepted Answer

A simple way to book a cleaner. See your price, book it, know who’s coming, and get photos when it’s done.

Question 2

How much will it cost?

Accepted Answer

Answer a few questions and see your price in seconds. We don’t add a fee on top.

Question 3

How do I book?

Accepted Answer

See your price, tap Book this clean, add your place and pick a day.

Question 4

Do I need a contract?

Accepted Answer

No. Book once or on a schedule. Pause or cancel anytime.

Question 5

Where do you clean?

Accepted Answer

Toronto and the GTA.

Question 6

Who will come to my place?

Accepted Answer

An independent cleaner — you’ll see their name and get the final say before they arrive. Cleaners in private homes also pass a background check, unless they’re someone you already know.

Question 7

Can I have the same cleaner again?

Accepted Answer

Yes — ask for them again and they hear about your next clean first.

Question 8

How do I know it was done?

Accepted Answer

You get a checklist and photos when the clean is finished.

Question 9

Is my address private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Cleaners see your city first, your street once they accept the job, and your door codes only on the day.

Question 10

What if I’m not happy?

Accepted Answer

Tell us within two days. Your payment stays on hold while we review the photos together.

Question 11

Is my information safe?

Accepted Answer

We don’t sell your data or use it for ads, and we never store card numbers. More in our Privacy Policy.

Question 12

When am I charged?

Accepted Answer

We put a temporary hold on your card when you book. You’re charged after two days, which gives you time to review the photos — or sooner if you approve the clean early.

Question 13

What can I pay with?

Accepted Answer

Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Canadian dollars.

Question 14

Do I get a receipt?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for every clean.

Question 15

What does it cost me to use CleanConnect PRO?

Accepted Answer

Free to join, browse, and take work — no subscription. On each finished, paid job we take 20% (plus HST on our 20% — never on tips). You always see your take-home before you say yes. The home background check is $31.99 a year, only needed for private-home work. You get an HST receipt for it.

Question 16

What does a lead cost me?

Accepted Answer

Calling a lead costs nothing. If the business becomes your client, their jobs are booked and paid here for the first 12 months, with our usual 20% on each one. The 12 months start with their first job. After that the client is yours, on CleanConnect PRO or off it. The full rule is in our Terms, section 8.

Question 17

How do I get paid?

Accepted Answer

Connect a Canadian bank account to get paid. After the two-day review — or sooner if the customer approves early — the money lands in your payout balance. Banks usually take 1–3 business days.

Question 18

Can I get paid faster?

Accepted Answer

Ask the customer to approve early — then instant payout can move the money to your bank faster for a small fee. It doesn’t shorten the two-day review.

Question 19

What is the on-call program?

Accepted Answer

Turn it on if you want last-minute work. Last-minute jobs (under two days’ notice) come to you first and pay 20% extra. Switch it off anytime in settings.

Question 20

What happens if the customer’s payment fails?

Accepted Answer

The booking isn’t confirmed until their card goes through. Wait for the app to say it’s confirmed before you start.

Question 21

What if I need to cancel?

Accepted Answer

Open the job and give a reason. If there’s already a hold on the customer’s card, we drop it — they’re not charged. Use Release this clean when you only want to put it back on the open list.

Question 22

How do I build my reputation?

Accepted Answer

After a job, you and the customer can review each other. Ratings and reviews show on your public page.

Question 23

Do I need to be incorporated?

Accepted Answer

No. Independent cleaners are welcome. Your taxes stay yours, so ask your accountant.

Question 24

What is the Canadian tax export?

Accepted Answer

Download a yearly CSV from Earnings. It lists completed work, tips, schedule income and late-cancel fees. Ask your accountant how to use it.

Question 25

What safety tools do I have while working?

Accepted Answer

During a job, you can share live location with people you choose, show a booking pass, and alert your contacts. Set that up under Profile → Personal safety. In an emergency, call 911.
